Unique jewellery art by DovileJewellery

It's a pleasure to introduce very unique artist DovileJewellery. Here is her story and SHOP.

Hello lovely people!
My name is Dovile. I am Lithuanian jewellery artist currently living and working in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, United Kingdom.

I have studied jewellery and smithery in Vilnius Academy of Arts (Telsiai, Lithuania), Escola Massana (Barcelona, Spain).
Past three years I was responsible for running the jewellery studio/workshop in Vilnius, tutored jewellery basics.
I'm actively participating in contemporary jewellery projects and exhibitions.

In the process of working, I approach the different materials with the intention to establish a form of dialogue with it. I am trying to find shapes which have no predictable meaning of jewellery being. Mostly I look through painter‘s and sculpture‘s eye rather than jewellers. At the same time, the leading role in materials takes the metal or wood.
The combination of fragile and monumental materials interacts into the pieces I made. Furthermore, the values which have not depended on cultural or time changes for me are essential in contrast with human fragility, soul‘s aches.

URBAN WOOL STORY by CITYSHEEP
Our story unfolds far away from urban noise, crowded areas and active city life. It takes its start in calm and boundless fields somewhere in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa where finest wool merino sheep graze.
Wool felt - one of the oldest man made textiles - hits the streets again these days.
Our accessories are intended for you - active, free and curious people, open to novelties and a little wild. That’s why we focus our efforts on life facilitating functionality, world saving beauty and pure authenticity.
Every CITYSHEEP item is a distinctive creation made of natural materials and inspired by minimalism and urban aesthetics.
And everything started with a wish to lend a new value to old authentic items and transfer some of that value to our modern times. The idea of creating casual felt accessories came by chance, as we discovered merino wool felt intended for products of design. This material is very durable, yet soft, mild and colour saturated. A perfect choice for sophisticated interior, clothing and accessory solutions. We delved into the study of history of this material and its functional characteristics, and simply couldn’t refrain from trying our hands at it. After receiving our first roll of felt we started to experiment.

At first we didn’t have the slightest idea neither of felt, nor of its technological characteristics or ease of working. But we had a vision that our items should be different than usual, aesthetic, functional, high-quality and durable. And although wool felting was already counting centuries until humans learned to weave textiles, we had to make an extra effort to learn to manage this material with precision. Thus in a couple of years of daily endeavour and search the first CITYSHEEP cases were born. Inspiring user responses urged us to move on…
Today we use genuine leather and natural German-milled 100% Merino wool design felt which is appreciated world over as very high quality and durable material, preferred by renowned fashion and interior designers. For some of our collections we use a truly unique and precious vegetable tanned leather.

So let us start our acquaintance with CITYSHEEP genuine leather and felt cases for iPhone, iPad, MacBook devices, and in the future we promise to present you an assortment of clothing and interior accessories refined to the smallest detail.

Felt clothes and accessories by DressInFelt

Felt story by DressInFelt and her SHOP

I started hand-crafting when I was at school. I sewed a lot, even participated in various competitions.
During studies I took a step back from practical hand-crafting and concentrated on learning instead -- articles about the history of costume in Lithuania was part of my studies.
I came back to crafting when my baby daughter was born -- she inspired new ideas. I started researching felt and what possibilities it had for me. Felt is like clay -- you can mould it to any form you desire - from a ball to a thin dress, thick coat, carpet, yurt or a painting. This attribute of felt is what inspires and impresses me, what creates a challenge in my work.
When I felt I think about the person that I am making a particular piece of clothing for, so I felt in positive emotions and feelings.
Most of all I love to felt for the littlest of us -- babies and toddlers. Even an indirect connection with little children gives me unbounded joy so I make these articles with great love.
I grew my hobby into my daily business so I can create with love every day.

Beaded leather bracelets, Men's leather bracelets by Kutadesign

And here Laura's about story.

Laura, designer from Lithuania. I was graphic designer for more than ten years. As a woman I naturally was interested in fashion, wanted to dress and to wear something special. That was a problem because it was hard to find clothes or jewelry what I had in my mind. From my early years I tried to solve such "problems" by making clothes myself.
KUTA story began, when my fiancé proposed to find a hobby, because everybody should have it. Somehow I had forgotten to have such thing. I found it in no time – “designing and making jewelry” I thought will be it. Of course in the beginning all models were for me and only me until I posted one model on Facebook. Many likes and interested people encouraged me to make jewelry not only for me and friends but also to offer for broader audience.
Years passed, my hobby became my work and work became a hobby. And I am very glad for that, because as a graphic designer I always valued work which involved creativity. Till 2016 bracelets were worn by Lithuanian women, now it's time to show bracelets to the rest of the world :) I registered in 2015, but only from 2016 trying to put my works here and trying to find how things works on ETSY :) Hope I will find many jewelry lowers here!
If you are interested in minimalist, classic, modern jewelry design and you found something what you like, fell free to look in my shop and imagine it as your own jewelry box.

With personal attitude just for You,
KUTA

Felted shawls, slippers, baby booties, jewelry by FeltStudioVART

Here is felted distinctive accessories by Vaida Petreikis. Shop FeltStudioVART and all the story.

My name is Vaida, I live in the middle of Europe, in a small country near the Baltic Sea – in Lithuania. Felt came into my life in 2006, at first just as a hobby, but, step by step, this evolved into something else. It’s my passion. It’s my self-expression. My lifestyle. I just believe in what I do. I felt various shawls, ruffle scarves, arm warmers, finger less gloves, slippers, dresses and much more.
Especially I love to make those super cute booties for the smallest ones, for babies! I make jewelry with handmade felt, various interior items from diverse materials, combining different techniques. Felt, metal, wood, stone, even photography - all in one. I love diversity and experiments. In everything. Even my education is quite a strange mix: Bachelor’s degree in Art and Art’s History, Master’s degree in Applied Sociology, Master’s degree in Information Technologies, seven-year studies at the Music school, studies at Textile Art school. I think that all education, all things I did and do in my life are closely related. It's a lifestyle. And art is an inherent part of my life.

By the way, I live in the very center of Kaunas and I love it! Living here allows me to feel the very essence of the city, to participate in its life, to be in it and… To maintain my privacy at the same time. My felt and photo studio is located in an old 19th century building in the main street of Kaunas, so if you ever came to Lithuania, you are welcome in my place!

SondeflorShop - It's a story about a girl, a dress and the sound of flowers...

Here is SondeFlor story and SHOP

The team of Son de Flor consist of two friendly dreamers, both with creative vision and passion for all things romantically classic! Probably a little bit crazy and naive as well, though great believers in a culture of a cup of tea and a power of slowing down. Just listen to our dresses! Can you hear what they are singing?

Seems it's time to introduce ourselves. We are Elze and Vaida. A photographer and a fashion creative. Friends forever. Travel companions. Recently business partners.
Our fresh yet promising brand Son de flor was born from longing for something beautiful and obvious. Something that needs no promotion nor arguing its' value. Something more than fashion. Something fragile, feminine and strong at the same time. Something lasting. Relieving. Looking just right with high-heels as well as sandals or sporty sneakers! Many faces, yet all carrying one beautiful sound. The sound of flowers.

This is what we hear when we create, craft and visualize our classic collar dresses: relax, slow down, embrace yourself, blossom and celebrate your 'yourness'!
All our dresses are produced in a small sewing house based in the heart of Vilnius, a family business established more than 20 years ago. We love working with someone we fully trust even on the slightest most complicated details. All our products are thoroughly hand-made and all the parties involved in the production processes are fairly rewarded. Our fabrics come from Lithuanian and Italian producers with fair trade and eco-friendly certificates.

Once you decide to have a Son de flor dress in your wardrobe, we will be more than happy to personally lead you through the process of sizing, producing and delivery of your order, explicitly commenting every stage of it.

In case you are not satisfied with your Son de flor dress, we assure the possibility of refund. Should you have any questions concerning Son de flor, don't hesitate to contact us at info [!at] sondeflor.com!

Handmade accessories, sweaters, cowls by IvetaStasiulioniene

Welcome to IvetaStasiulioniene SHOP and here is her story...

I finished history and art history bachelor studies in one of the oldest universities in Europe, Vilnius University.
But after becoming a mother, I fully indulged to my family. Having free time I always sat down to knit, and little by little it became a full-time job.

I have loads of ideas, that I try to recreate, old knitting techniques and new fashion trends combining all into one. I want to try everything. From wedding and boho knittings - to warm and fluffy winter accessories.
I am really demanding towards myself and my knitting. I choose only the highest quality yarn. I thoroughly inspect them to see if they are soft, if they will itchy and if they will stretch and bleed during washing. It`s really important to me.

I try to improve a model as much as I can, until I feel delighted with the turn out and fall in love with it myself. Only then I show them to You.
Before shipping all of my knittings out, I wash them with an eco detergent. You get clean, fragrant knittings and You can easily wear them on the same day you get it!

I am delighted when the clients are happy with my products, a part of my heart belongs to them:)

I am happy thrusting woman, I have two wonderful adult children and has a loving husband. I very much appreciate all that is natural, real and unique. Thorough and responsible job. All my life I have worked in a job requiring accountability and, therefore, their creative work is performed in the same way. With family have a wonderful paradise on earth, we grow their own vegetables, fruits and berries, we have to love the animals that flit freely in our meadow. So after any outdoor work and return to my knitting.
I started to knit for a very long time as a little girl, just 12 years old. Affiliating and my mother and grandmother. I am very careful and responsible. Knit with love and care. I have to work a little, but they are all very neat and handmade.
The shop was created by me and encouraged me to like doing, not only to their families but also for the wide ambushes my youngest daughter, the artist - a painter Rasa Vilčinskaitė, Etsy name RasaVilJewelry.
I am grateful to the people around me for their sincere support.

Handmade Crocheted Jewelry by EdoraJewels

Edmunda's SHOP and her story....
Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life [Confucius]
This words made revolution in my life. In the very end of the winter of 2012 I made my very first primitive brooch. My husband sold it and others for his collegues. After few month I decide to learn some techniques and in July of the same year I crocheted first bead rope. That was the beginning of my new way of life.
Now jewelry is part of my world. I have more happiness, shining eyes, got huge amount of compliments. Somebody calls me a real artist. I don't care it's true or not. I just do what my hands and eyes wants.
I'm very happy to create creation - some image, something new and with feeling.
So that's why you can find phrase "some elements and findings can be not the same but similar as in pictures" - I'm not factory and I don't have huge amount of the same findings, beads and etc.
